Description: The Oregon Graduation and Postsecondary Success Alliance is a partnership between practitioners and researchers working to improve high school graduation and postsecondary completion for all Oregonians. At our annual convening, the keynote speaker will be Justice Adrienne Nelson, the first African American appointed to the Oregon Supreme Court. Her insights will guide and challenge participants as they take bold steps to promote success for all Oregon students. Following Justice Nelson’s keynote, participants will choose to attend two of six breakout sessions to learn about and help shape REL Northwest’s work. The session topics are accelerated learning, school discipline, a literature summary on evidence-based practices to increase high school graduation, social and emotional learning, multi-tiered systems of support, and multiple measures for placement.
